ABOUT OUR EXPEDITIONS
Here, we offer some general insights into how we design and manage our expeditions. While we can’t cover every detail here, rest assured that the full itinerary includes all the necessary information. Our goal is to accommodate the needs of every participant, and flexibility is a core priority for us. We strive to adapt the itinerary when necessary, ensuring that each team member gets the most out of their adventure. Any changes are always made collectively by the team to ensure a shared and fulfilling experience for all.

GROUP SIZES
Maximum Number of Vehicles:
We prioritize small group sizes to provide more personalized attention to each participant and to minimize our environmental impact in the remote areas we explore. Our expeditions typically consist of up to 5 vehicles, with a maximum of 15 participants, accompanied by support vehicles and staff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.

DIFFICULTY
All of our expeditions are categorized into four levels, as detailed in the itinerary. These levels give a general indication of the expected difficulty, considering not just the driving challenges but also factors like fitness, stress, and comfort. After all, we’re here to create an adventure!

PRICING
Expedition prices are generally listed per person, based on two people per vehicle sharing a double or twin accommodation. If a vehicle is carrying more than one passenger, please get in touch with us for potential discount options. All pricing details can be found in the specific itinerary for each expedition.

CO - PILOT
On select expeditions, we offer a discount for a "Co-Pilot" spot, allowing someone to join as a passenger in one of our support vehicles. This provides a unique perspective of the journey while also contributing by assisting with various tasks along the way.

TRAVELLING WITH PETS
Traveling with dogs on our expeditions is generally possible, provided you are using your own vehicle and follow specific guidelines that respect the needs of other team members. At OVEREX, we are very pet-friendly, though there may be some associated costs. Crossing borders is usually not a major issue, as long as your dog has the required paperwork and vaccinations. The main restrictions will arise when entering national parks or participating in certain activities. You should be prepared to leave your dog with someone else for the duration of these activities. While this may sound challenging, it can usually be easily managed.

COOKING / LIFESTYLE
When embarking on one of our expeditions, it’s important to understand that we are not embarking on a 5-star holiday. Our home will be our overland vehicles, which provide everything we need, albeit in a more compact space. Every 3 to 4 days (when possible), we will stay at hotels or lodges, offering the comforts of warm water, fresh bed linens, and whatever else you may have missed. We’ll also have plenty of opportunities to do laundry, make phone calls, stock up on supplies, and even get a haircut when we return to civilization.
While we aim to cater to all types of culinary preferences, there are, of course, limitations when we’re off the beaten track. To meet these individual needs, we’ve found the best solution is to cook together or individually, depending on the location and climate. Overex will purchase sufficient supplies and fresh foods based on the itinerary and the time we spend in the wilderness. When we reach civilization, there will always be the chance to enjoy local restaurants and bars.
